Eric Johnson works as a Research Assistant for the Weed Research Program in the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan. He was born and raised on a grain farm northeast of Eston, SK. Eric received both his Bachelor and Masters of Science in Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan. He has over 35 years of research and extension experience. He began his career in extension with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture then moved into his research career as a Weed Biologist and Officer-In-Charge with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada at Scott. He joined the University of Saskatchewan in 2015. In 2016, Eric was recognized for his accomplishments in weed science when he received the Fellow Award from the Canadian Weed Science Society.
