Born and raised in Killarney, Manitoba, he has now been in the Agriculture industry for over 30 years, beginning as an elevator assistant for Paterson Grain in southern Manitoba. He moved to Saskatchewan with Paterson in 1995, and in 1998 became the Marketing Manager for their terminal in Indian Head. In 1999 the opportunity arose to take on a new challenge by joining the team at Terminal 22 in Balcarres, SK, a farmer owned facility that was just being built. After a few years with them, he decided it was time to take on another new challenge, and opened up his own grain brokerage and market consulting company, ABS Brokerage, based out of his current hometown of Abernethy, Saskatchewan. Many years of doing business with Grain Millers in Yorkton as a broker led them to offer him a position in their procurement department in 2012, and the rest, as they say, is history! He now manages the procurement of milling oats into the mill in Yorkton, and also assists our US procurement team on other commodities that they source from Canada. Scott lives on an acreage outside of Yorkton with his wife Jenn.
